Step 1: Gently Pluck Cacao Pods From The Jungle
Our harvesters do exactly as the Mayans did.
They trek deep into the jungle to pluck the fruit of the Theobroma tree by hand.
They used short, hooked blades mounted on long poles…
To delicately tap clusters of ripe cacao pods…
And let them fall into the soft jungle soil.
Then they crack open the pods…
And use their hands to strip out the wet beans.
