Hot Honey Lime Marinated Chicken

Part of the fun of grilling out in the summer is coming up with exciting and flavorful marinades. I mean, sure you can season your meats with a quick blend, and it will always turn out fine, but if you can make it better, why wouldn’t you?

This is one of my favorite marinades so far. It’s hot. It’s sweet. It’s tangy. But it’s also got a kick from Los Muertos Barbecue seasoning. I marinated some thinly sliced chicken that I then skewered. A quick grill gives you charred edges and juicy insides. It doesn’t take long, which means that your hungry barbecue guests have a snack before the main course is done. Or is this the main course? Only you decide.

The marinade comes together quickly in a blender and uses a few of my favorite Ava Jane’s Kitchen products. Avocado oil, of course. And Yucatan Honey, which is the perfect complement to the avocado oil. Hot Roasted Garlic adds flavorful heat, and Los Muertos Barbecue rounds gives that perfect warm spicy flavor to round it out. Once you make it, you’ll be using it on everything from chicken to shrimp to fish. I promise you that.
