If you’ve ever made a pot of soup or chili and wanted bread to go with it, but realized you have none, you have two options. Run to the store and get some, or make some yourself. (I guess three options if you count just not having bread, but that’s usually not an option for me!)
Obviously, you can’t make a good loaf of crusty bread in the time it takes to make soup, so the next best thing is a quick and easy drop biscuit like this one. So easy, and will satisfy the need to have something carby to dip into your soup.
These come together quickly with most ingredients you have on hand, but they have a secret ingredient that adds a bit of heat and flavor: Ava Jane’s Kitchen Blackened Fish seasoning blend. This spicy, Cajun blend pairs nicely with the cheddar and turns these biscuits into something special. Especially good with chili or stew.
